In 2017, Dato Chakri has been appointed as Asia president, responsible for managing daily affairs as well as supervise the process and progress of the entire project. Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-anak Yatim Sayang KL and Selangor

 

We AKERO again believe that it is our responsibility to give back to the society and to help those who are in need. This ideology is nurtured by our founder himself, Dato’ Sri Warren Eu hence on the 4^th of February he led his team from AKERO to organize a charity visit to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-anak Yatim Sayang KL and Selangor, situated in Kajang.

Next, the main objective of this effort is to help the children in need irrespective of their race. Dato’ Sri Warren Eu is a firm believer that racial discrimination is something that should be put aside as well and also individuals of all races have an equal right to receive any form of aid.

Besides that, the opening of Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-anak Yatim Sayang KL & Selangor was officiated by Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun, the Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Malaysia on Wednesday, the 3rd of February 2010 to house kids who are in need. On the other hand, we also feel that we have an important role to play for the orphans and kids who are abused, abandoned as well as neglected as we believe that these children also deserve a life.

Therefore, during our visit, we donated several types of essential foods and items to the kids including oil, rice, eggs, biscuits, Milo, vegetables, shampoos and Zongzi which is a rice dish made of glutinous rice and wrapped in bamboo leaves. We are hoping that these kids can eat well and receive enough healthy nutrients. Our team also helped to revamp the orphanage such as bringing it back to life by painting their walls, doors, stairs and even their gates. This project was joined by Dato’ Sri Warren Eu where he worked alongside his team in painting the orphanage.

The charity visit to the orphanage was truly an eye-opening experience for all of us at AKERO. We, alongside our selfless founder, Dato’ Sri Warren Eu hope to encourage the general public to be involved more in charitable events and do our part in improving the lives of others.

Charity Events

 

It has always been emphasized by our founder Dato’ Sri Dr. Warren Eu as we should instil selflessness into our personality. We are trained to recognize the importance of giving back to the community. Thus, ever since our establishment, AKERO is involved in many charitable events and we have affiliated with several organizations to provide our continuous efforts in helping those in need.

 

On the 19^th of December 2016, Dato’ Sri Warren and Dato Zakaria alongside with many volunteers went to the Chow Kit Road where they gathered a crowd of homeless people and donated food and beverages to them. Dato’ Sri Dr. Warren Eu, Dato’ Zakaria and their team personally handed out burgers and bottled drinks to the homeless.

 

In the following year on the 19^th of February 2017, AKERO organized a New Year Reunion for charity that attended by the kids from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Sri Cemerlang (PKSC). Dato’ Sri Dr. Warren Eu himself was there to distribute food, ang paus as well as Umatrin goodie bags to the children.

 

Following the Mrs Malaysia pageant on the 6^th of October 2017, Dato’ Sri Warren Eu and the finalists of Mrs. Malaysia paid a visit to House of Love where they spent time eating KFC sets with the children. They also handed out biscuits, chocolates, toilet papers, rice, shampoos and even AKERO Fruit Juices which the kids enjoyed them a lot.

 

At the end of the year, on December 12^th, 2017 Dato’ Sri Warren Eu and his team went up north to Alor Setar which is in the state of Kedah to visit one of the local schools as they committed to provide the best education to the children of SJKC Keat Hwa. Besides that, they interacted with the kids and also gave them goodie bags that were filled with AKERO products.

 

In the beginning of 2018 on the 13^th of January, our team leaded by Dato’ Sri Warren Eu and went to PB Blind Massage Parlour in the heart of Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur. The establishment was founded by a national hero, the Paralympian Lee Seng Chow after years of studying the art of massage and acupuncture. He aims to provide a safe platform for the blind people to acquire the same skills as he did. The place offers safe and clean environment for their clients to enjoy revitalizing massages from many of their skilled masseurs. So, on that day, together with Dato’ Sri Warren and his team, the masseurs enjoyed the food and beverage sets. He even socialized with them while playing the guitar as well as singing along with some songs.

 

Therefore, being an avid philanthropist, Dato’ Sri Warren Eu is on a continuous journey to play his role in the community and he hopes that everyone would adopt the practice of philanthropy as well; to help out together as a part of the community.

BEE THANKSGIVING CHARITY WITH AKERO

Just before the Christmas bell chimed, UMHL founder Datuk Sri Dr. Warren Eu sponsored and collaborated with Bee’s and held a Thanksgiving Canteen Food Charity Tour serving food to various orphanages and nursing homes. Held on the festive month of December, this charity event was sponsored by Datuk Sri Dr. Warren Eu in hope that the elderly and children would get healthy meals to eat. During visit, the children, adults and elderly accepted the meals with a smile on their face as they enjoyed the meal with everyone else, sharing and spreading the joy.

Guided by persistence, people at the Bee’s strived through to continue their efforts throughout this pandemic. They distributed food to various locations including Ti-Ratana welfare society, Salak South, on the 21st of December 2020, where they donated 60 sets of Bah Kut Teh and on the same day to Charis Home, Shah Alam, with 30 sets of Bah Kut Teh. 

On the 23rd of December 2020, crews from Bee’s visited Victory Children Home OUG, and donated 30 sets of Bah Kut Teh. The next day, they made their way to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Orang Tua Cacat dan Kurang Upaya Taman Connaught for food donation as well.

On the 25th of December 2020, team from Bee’s has donated a total  40 sets of Bah Kut Teh to Persatuan Kebajikan Orang-orang Tua Bandar Selangor, Rumah Charis Taman Yarl.

On the 26th of December 2020, serving of 30 sets Bah Kut Teh had given to Bodhi Homecare Cheras. 

On the 28th of December 2020, bringing along 50 sets of Bah Kut Teh, they then proceed to Persatuan Kebajikan Warga Tua Wilayah Persekutuan dan Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Wilayah Persekutuan, in Kepong.

The Bee’s team then served 30 packs of Hainanese chicken rice to Charis Home, Puchong, on the 30th of December 2020. And went to Kinrara House of Joy in Puchong on new year eve with 50 packs of Hainanese chicken rice. The next day, the team proceed to Yi Xing USJ Old Folks Home with 30 packs of Hainanese chicken rice and then to Yayasan Sunbeam Home, Cheras, on the following day to donate 60 packs of Hainanese chicken rice. 

They then progressed to Klang on the 5th of January 2021 where they donated 30 packs of Hainanese chicken rice to Rumah Kids Klang. The next day, donating 40 packs of Hainanese chicken rice to Shelter Home for Children, in Petaling Jaya. Their most recent visit would be to Rumah Victory Children Home, Taman OUG on the 9th of January 2021 where they donated 35 packs of Hainanese chicken rice to the children. 

Their effort in contributing to society is a never-ending process and guided by our founder, Dato’ Sri Dr. Warren Eu, we at UMHL hope to instil the value behind charity and also hopefully encourage the general public especially the youth to be willing to get themselves involved in charitable events. 

For Dato’ Sri Dr. Warren Eu, charity is something beyond race, religion and skin colour. As he progresses in his entrepreneurial journey, he will continue instilling the value of kindness and generosity to the people around him.
